Correct measurement of electric components in cars

How do you correctly contact installed electric components in the vehicle? What should you bear in mind when connecting the electric components? Is it possible to puncture the components’ cables when carrying out the measurements? This video tells you all you need to know.

If electric components are to be measured in the vehicle and no special testing cable is available, the measuring instrument is to be connected to the back of the plug using a corresponding test tip.

Attention: Do not pierce the electric cable under any circumstances! This can let water in and cause the cables to corrode.
When using the test tips, it is also important to take care that the gaskets in the plug are not damaged.
